About Before God's Wrath: the Bible's Answer to the Timing
of the Rapture:
Midwest Book Review:
Now in a revised and expanded
edition, Before God’s Wrath: The Bible’s Answer to the Timing
of the Rapture articulately presents author H. L. Nigro’s
unyielding belief that Jesus Christ will return to Earth in what
is termed “the rapture,” reuniting the Christian Church after
the coming of the Antichrist, and after the worldwide
“tribulation,” yet before the Wrath of God inundates the entire
human race. A powerful and well thought out theological essay,
Nigro draws from scripture and is forthright in her theological
presentation. Before God’s Wrath is a most intriguing read and
worthy of reading by students of the “End Times” literature. —

Marvin Rosenthal,
author, The Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Church:
The author asks the question,
"What does the Bible really say about the rapture?" The
operative word is "really." And the author does not disappoint
us. With clarity, insight, boldness, and grace, H.L. Nigro
supplies the answer. Each month, I receive dozens of articles
and manuscripts to evaluate or endorse for publication. I do not
endorse what I am not genuinely enthusiastic about. I am
enthusiastic about this book. Within its pages, the readers will
not find speculation or sensationalism. However, they will find
a powerful and convincing presentation for the chronological
sequence of the Lord's second coming and its practical
implication for the believer.

Before God's Wrath
provides a clear, biblical presentation of the timing of the
rapture of the church. H.L. Nigro writes in a straightforward
style that is neither too lofty nor too simplistic. All relevant
passages are examined and the author provides many biblical and
logical arguments for the prewrath rapture position. Rather than
being purely academic, this book also shows that a proper
understanding of the return of Christ is a critical component in
living a life of faith. As the End Times rapidly approach, I
pray that Before God's Wrath will get a wide reading since it
brings a message which is vital for the church today.

Before God's
Wrath
by H. L. Nigro is one of the better books I've come across
regarding the timing of the Rapture of the Church.
Well-researched and documented, this study is not an emotional
defense of a predisposed position; it is a thought-provoking
overview supported solely and completely by Scripture. Wherever
you fall in your theological stance regarding the Last Days, you
would be hard pressed to debunk the author's strong position.
The excellent book is also available in Spanish: Antes de la
IRA de Dios.

H. L. Nigro combines the
studious analysis of a researcher with the inquisitive instincts
of a reporter. What’s most refreshing is that she’s not
motivated by the desire to be "right" about doctrine, but by her
Berean devotion to serve the Word of God.

Before God’s Wrath
examines the timing of the rapture from a purely biblical
standpoint. The book compares parallel passages in both the Old
and New Testament to arrive at the order of the events to form a
biblically sound interpretation of end-times prophecy. I can
enthusiastically recommend this book for anyone who wants to
understand what the Bible really says about the timing of the
rapture.

Readers:
I've searched through books
about the rapture and Christ's second coming for quite a few
years. It's very hard to find one that doesn't have major
assumptions stated as fact on every page. There is no arrogance
found here, and every disagreement the author has with other
views is delivered with much grace. H. L Nigro's book is one of
the few I have found on this subject that actually accomplishes
to find many truths without stretching the scripture. Not only
is there passage after passage quoted from the Bible in this
book for us to study on our own, I counted 22 charts that help
the reader visualize the points H.L. Nigro is making! Unlike
many end-times books, the foundation of Before God's Wrath is
not based upon 2 or 3 verses. This book is worth your valuable
time. — Dave Bussard, author of Who Will Be Left Behind and
When?
Dear folks, I have just
finished reading the above book by Mrs. Nigro. Excellent read. I
have been a follower of Marv Rosenthal's ministry for 10 years
and have met with him once. I have diligently studied prophecy
for 20 years and am a staunch believer in the pre-wrath view. —

After years of listening to
the story that all Christians will disappear before the
Tribulation begins—an idea I liked, but had serious questions
about—I find a book that makes sense about what Christians and
non-Christians can expect to happen. The book is well written
and well organized. The author answered my questions and a few
more I hadn't thought of. In addition, I appreciate how the
author uses key verses from the Old and New Testament and links
them to the Book of Revelation, thus laying the foundation for
the conclusions about when the Rapture will occur.— a reader

Last winter, I was on my way
to work listening to Word-FM as Dave Baker was interviewing H.
L. Nigro on the morning show. I really enjoyed the program and
had been meaning to buy her book, Before God's Wrath, but have
been preoccupied with other issues needing my attention. Now
that end-times prophecy appears to be unraveling before our eyes
regarding current world events [written in relation to the
September 11, 2001 disaster], I feel the time is ripe for me to
purchase a copy of H. L.'s book. Thank you and may God richly
bless you for your boldness in speaking the truth in love. —

Before God's Wrath
examines the timing of the rapture from a purely biblical
standpoint. The book compares parallel passages in both the Old
and New Testament to arrive at the order of the events to form a
biblically sound interpretation of end time prophecy. H.L. Nigro
uses many tables and timelines to illustrate the biblical view
of the timing of the rapture. This approach greatly aids in
understanding what the scope of the Bible says about the end
times. I can enthusiastically recommend this book for anyone who
wants to understand what the Bible really says about the timing
of the rapture. Don't be caught off guard by the coming Great
Tribulation. — Rich Deem, Los Angeles, CA (www.godandscience.org),

I just want to compliment you
on how clear you present your message and how well you back up
what you say with scripture. Whether I am in prewrath camp or
posttrib is of little consequence, but the pretrib view is
wrong. I saw that when first introduced to it. It just isn't
there...not in the texts that the pretribbers use to show it. I
wanted so much to believe that position, but I couldn't buy it.
(I would rather believe what the majority of people in my church
believe, but I have nothing to stand on.) I even joined the
Conservative Theological Society and read all that I could on
the pretrib rapture. I couldn't see it. It just isn't there. So
I gave up. I decided to go with my reading of the scripture and
came up with a post trib rapture, and now I am refining that.
Some day this information may be useful to other believers,
especially if we see the signs listed in Mat. 24 . — Bob
This book thoroughly and
systematically exams the weaknesses of the pretribulation
rapture position while at the same time explaining the true
timing of the Second Coming of Christ, as it is presented in the
Bible. It would be informative both for those who already think
they know about the rapture and for those who don't know much,
but want to know more. There's a helpful question and answer
section at the beginning to get you started. Then, you can
either skip ahead and read about specific issues by selected
chapter, or start from the beginning and address each topic
systematically. So the book is designed to be useful to both
those who know a lot about the Bible already and to those who
are just average church-going folks. Extensive notes and
documentation is there if you want it, but not required for
understanding the issues. Critiques of major pre-tribulation
rapture scholars are included. Their teachings are sensitively
reviewed, but ultimately shown to be inadequate for accurately
explaining this important topic. Throughout the book, Ms. Nigro
makes it clear that the stakes are high, and urges readers to
examine for themselves the texts she puts forth as evidence that
to assume that God is going to rapture them out of the world
before suffering any of the Great Tribulation could be costly:
Awakening to a world overtaken by the Anti-Christ could shake
the faith of those who are biblically unprepared because they
have casually accepted the pre-trib rapture teachings that are
currently dominating much of today's evangelical churches. This
book makes it clear that persecution and suffering may face all
believers before Christ returns to rapture His Church. — Gary

We totally enjoyed the book
because it provides a look at the pre-wrath position from a
woman's perspective. It also differs from the writings of
Rosenthal and Van Kampen and thus gives a further basis for
discussion. — Ronald
I thoroughly enjoyed this
book! It gives a true, Biblically-sound account of the prewrath
rapture position. Detailed charts and graphs and scripture
references backing each claim provide no doubt as to the
extensive research performed on this subject. "Before God's
Wrath" is not just another person's opinion on what will happen
in the end times. Rather, it is rather very clear and
irrefutable facts taken directly from scripture. This is a
definite must-read for those with a pre-trib, mid-trib or
post-tribulation position of the rapture or for those who want
to find out more about the prewrath position. — FreeIndeed

Keep up the good work! God
bless. Thanks for your web site. When I found out you were a
woman, I was pleased. I have believed the prewrath position for
many years now, but the men whom I have talked to about it
dismissed me as irrelevant. I am a housewife, not a theologian.
When did pastors and Bible teachers forget that the Holy Spirit
is our teacher for all true believers? Anyway, God has always
encouraged me to continue my studies, no matter who listens. My
husband and I have just moved to the Dallas/Ft Worth area and I
have been accepted to Dallas Theological Seminary. They already
know my pre-wrath view since I had to address it because of
their pre-trib view. I was a bit surprised they accepted me, but
I am willing to be a light to this Christian environment with
the truth of the end-times. Keep strong in the Lord. — Jean

I'm so glad that there are
more and more people like you coming forward to speak the truth
about what the Bible says about the end-times. If people would
only believe what is so plainly said in the Bible, there would
be no need for books explaining the end times! But I do pray a
blessing for you and your book, and I pray it gets into the
hands of those who love the truth more than their own comfort
and security. As it says so wonderfully in the book of
Revelation: "They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by
the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so
much as to shrink from death" (Rev. 12:11 NIV). — Ron
